A beautiful titanium left full blown sucker, and a nifty titanium right knee, fitted with space age plastics. How's that for a collection to be proud of. And here the kicker, I earned them doing physical labor all my life since I left school at 16. Why am I proud? Well, to serve in the US Air Force, I had to forge school papers that I completed the 10th grade. On top of that, I finished high school and almost have an associate degree in aircraft maintenance, shy 13 credits. I studied and passed the 4 days of testing by the FAA, to earn my FAA maintenance certifications, both airframe and power plant. I worked in aviation for 48.5 years, just retired as an certified aircraft safety inspector. How's that for a collection of, 'so whats'.
Oh...frugal, by the way, I am currently writing a science fiction novel. Read my thirteen chapters I have posted at:

"wow...is that Vince a wind bag or what...who in hell wound him up so tight?"

Wowzers! I'd be proud of all that too...and it ain't braggin, when you did it for the good of our country. What an honor for you...and the fact that you came back ALIVE and in one piece (or with a collection of extra pieces...lol).

I saw you had a novel started...I'll have to go check it out.

Welcome! Can we have pictures of your machines? Are you mostly interested in the old ones? It will be fun to have a mechanic on our board!
