    This is like the one seam flying geese construction. Easy as Pie! I made the flying geese block 12" and put two together for the same look but this seems easier. Thanks for posting this.

    Do you have to make the block bigger then 10 inches to start?
    or just 10 inches.

    Aren't some people so creative....I can never think that stuff up, but am able to do the quilts once I see it. I will definitely try this out. The good thing about the technique is you can probably use any size block to start since all the 5 blocks are the same size.....no math involved. I'm going to try it having it look like a bowtie when it's finished.
