This would be a great Leader and Ender project like Bonnie Hunter makes. My GF made one using black and it is beautiful! Seeing hers made me want to make one!!

Oh, goodness, I love it! Thanks for the link. I just finished one that used nearly that many 2.5 inch squares. It also has the white sashing and looks like it might be by the same creative designer. Got the pattern off the net and have no idea where it came from. and It is just a hoot when folks ask about "Why did you cut up all your fabric into those little squares?" Just scraps, I say, just scraps.

Goodness, I just looked further and deeper into this weddingdressblue site and WOWZERS, more ways to use those scraps! Bookmarked for future reference. Thanks for the good ideas.

Thanks for sharing. In 1999 I joined a Y2K swap of 2" squares. The idea was to start a collection of 2" squares from 2000 different fabrics. I am still collecting! I have over 1,500 now. But the idea of putting them into a quilt with some sort of design has been overwhelming. I've looked at ideas over the years of arrangements in color families, light/dark placements. But my colors are so random and not sure if the light/dark ratio would be right. This pattern is perfect. The white breaks up the monotony of just sewing hundreds of squares together and give the quilt an organized look. I have printed it out to put in my box with the squares. I need to go look up that 2" swap also!
