Maureen NJ, that is fabric I had intended for something else that didn't work out. The print is a Jinny Beyer border, cut up.

Oh wow! Congrats! I've tried PP and had some very colourful words pop out of my mouth! I admire you for tackling it and succeeding so beautifully.

It is so rewarding to find a teacher or tutorial that helps you get through the tough, impossible, I can't get my head around it, phase of trying a new technique. Congratulations. This is a very pretty fussy cut compass, well done.

Your piece is beautiful. Paper piecing was one of my challenges. A local quilt store was offering a Judy Niemeyer class so I signed up. The teacher was the store owner. She was very organized. After approximately 300 hours (Yes, I kept track). I finished my mariner's compass quilt. I told myself I did the paper piecing challenge and probably would not do another. My quilt is beautiful but I have not had it quilted yet. This is my first attempt to respond to a thread. I still need to learn how to send a picture. Over the last 3 years, since I began Quilting Board, I have really enjoyed reading and learning from all the responses. Now my challenge will be to respond more.
