I'm so excited about "new" big stitching!
It's called Kantha stitching and it's the next "new" thing in the quilting/modern quilting world according to several sources.
Check out this site for information on this very interesting uptick in quilting -- both hand and machine:

Then check out the following for great supplies including needles, thimbles, and great threads:

YES, I WILL be ordering from them -- the threads thrill me!!

My last hand quilted quilt I did big stitching using size 12 cotton thread. It was about four stitches per inch. It looked great and everyone thought it was the neatest thing ever. Ugh except the fuddy duddy members of my ex guild. They said it wasn't real quilting. LOL I will check out the new supplies. I love doing it, took about 1/4 the time of regular hand quilting. I won a viewer's choice ribbon.

But my daughter, a millennial, requested it and loves it. It seems to be the new modern way

Thanks for the site, I signed up and ordered from them already. I love their website, fabrics and patterns. Now the thread will be easier to order.
I remember when those member criticized long arm quilting. Oops, my age is showing.
