iron on threads what use them for--ideas

Some years ago, in Threads magazine maybe, I read about a trick that
some REAL expensive men's suits used to keep the creases sharp.
They ironed the creases in before putting the pants together. Put the
iron on glue threads on the BOBBIN and WASH OUT thread on the spool.
Then sewed the crease very, very carefully from the TOP, then turned it
and re-ironed it. That way, the creases would stay put for years, or how
ever long that type wore their expensive suits.
When I tried to find it at our little JoAnnes' they didn't know what I was
talking about. Might have to search the Internet. I have problems with
remembering to be a lady and not wear out my creases with kids and
dogs and sitting in the car with a cup of coffee dripping on my lap.
