make a quilt for a child
my husband showed me a small blurb in the Parade Magazine from the local paper regarding making quilts for children of deployed service members. according to this article if you sign up they send you fabric squares with printed phots from a family and they request someone to sew them into a quilt then mail to a child who misses mom or dad.
