Default Rowenta Focus Iron for $49

Tuesday Morning store has the Red color Rowenta Focus, Made in Germany, iron for $49. I usually buy cheap irons and use them up after my Reliable and Oliso irons died too young. I bought one and was surprised at how nice it is. Heavy, long sharp point at the end, excellent steam, and very pretty for an iron. There was another model of the Rowenta, made in Germany, for $69 there too.

Yesterday I took my sister out and we went "junkin" as she calls it....Goodwill and Salvation Army!! I found a perfectly great Rowenta Powerglide Iron (made in Mexico) at Goodwill for $5.38. Looked as if someone got something on the plate so they donated it. Cleaned it up and it works wonderfully. What a bargain.

Wow lindaschipper, that's a great find. One of my quilting buddies insists we stop at very thrift store we see when we go on a day trip to fabric shop. I always find something to buy.

My Rowenta have each lasted over 10 years. Never had a problem with them (unless you count the time that the ants invaded the water tank!)
