Default Saw This HQ Avante on EBay

I'm not too sure where this post belongs, but I saw this HQ Avante on eBay for a ridiculously cheap price. I'm thinking either the seller doesn't know what they have (like it was inherited or something) or it's totally unusable. Gosh, I hope someone picks it up! I wish I could.

Yes, read the rest of the ad. There are terms and conditions not disclosed.

Besides that, it's up for auction, so the price shown today could increase as it gets to the end of the auction. In the terms and conditions, it says he will take $2500. on "buy it now". I don't think that complies with Ebay rules. They may take it down. I could be wrong, though. I've not sold many items on Ebay and do not know all the rules.

At the bottom of the ad the seller lists a price of $2500. It does look like a beautiful machine.

I did find that odd... I've never bought anything of eBay so I didn't know that wasn't normal.

Even for Buy Now for $2500 it is a good price. The Avante goes for at least $5000 pre-owned.

Usually a "buy it now" price is listed "sooner" in the ad than in that one.

Like right below the bidding part.

I've purchased many items on Ebay. The crazy low price with no reserve, the seller requesting that you email him outside of ebay before bidding and the rough English (I doubt if English is his first language) are all red flags for me. Do not bid. I think the guys Ebay account has been hacked.

Thanks for the warnings! I knew checking here on the QB was a good idea!

That's a red flag for sure. With eBay you can have an auction that also includes a Buy it Now price, but the Buy it Now price is listed right up front in the same area where it shows you the current bid. I've had very good luck buying machines on eBay, but I only bid on things where the eBay listing follows all eBay guidelines. This one doesn't.
