Amazing how so many don't know this way. We were taught this stitch in Home Ec. I forgot what name it had but I use it to sew hexies.

Thanks, Peggi! It seems so simple, one of those "Why didn't I think of that?" moments. I like how you don't have to be manipulating the pieces so much. Your work stays lined up quite nicely. I'm going to be using this method.

Tried it out last night and it was awesome!!! I sure wish I knew this at the beginning but I still have a long way to go on my project. Thanks so much!!!
Oh- and since you don't have to fold the hexis they will last longer too. A lot of mine are practically useless after all the folding I had to do when I did it the other way.
I love working on this project at night. Very relaxing and now more so
