treadle would be a bit heavy to take camping...yikes.

I have a 1928 Singer LaVinceadora (sp?) hand crank, lovely to use on a picnic table.
The parts to change an electric older machine to hand crank are available at places that carry other new parts for vintage machines.
There are many places in the world without electricity, these machines give the women a chance for some independence.
The people powered ones from India kind of irritate me, as they use the same decals as old machines and are sometimes passes off on Ebay etc, as Vintage, unused,

In the video It looked like the girl was sewing from the back of the machine. How does she adjust the dials from that position? Never seen that before.

Where do you get the cabinet from, all the adds I saw say it does not come with a cabinet. Looked on line, their was an Amish site, but it was very expensive.

Looks interesting but for camping??? Wouldn't that be like transporting an old treadle? One the other hand...a crNk machine

And I have a machine to put into a treadle cabinet and can't find one.
