Default Tool for scant 1/4" seam

I just discovered this site that has this tool for the dreaded scant 1/4" seam. It is $11.95.
Just thought I'd pass this on I,m going to order one ASAP.

I have a 1/4 inch foot that allows me to move the needle as apposed to one with just a single needle hole. I love it.

I took a workshop from Bonnie Hunter a few weeks ago and she had 1/4" ruler guide you put your machine needle in and then mark to get exact 1/4" or scant 1/4" seams. It cost $3 or $5, I don't remember, I don't know if she has them for sale on her website.

Has anyone tried the old seam guide that you screw into the machine to hold the measurement like when sewing clothes with 5/8 seams?

Darn it! I wasn't going to buy any more tools or rulers! Oh well I'll start tomorrow!

If you can measure carefully, you can use double sided scotch tape and tape a stick of gum down on your machine at whatever seam allowance you want. This is how I taught my 4H girls to sew a straight seam.
