I am wondering what the effect would look like if you don't have 2 of the same print in the set of 3. It is a neat idea and I think I'll have to try it. Thanks!

I thought of doing a red white and blue block but then all the seams that would have to match, to not be obvious they don't, would be a big hassle. The crazy matches suit the anything goes block.

That's a great quilt and nice tutorial! I also looked at a couple of other videos she made. I will definitely be using them. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for sharing. I love your quilt. I am a fan of controlled scrappy! I also enjoyed her other videos! I have to make shorthand notes in order to make a YT project. I am happy to share the Word document.

Thanks Aashely333. I use a Kindle tablet to watch youtube tutorials. I pause or rewind as needed. I have one only used for quilting patterns, tutorials, apps, shopping, and quilt books.

I like illusion quilts, some anyway but I really like the second video better with the one inch strip in between the halved 3in square. Thanks for sharing these ideas with us. My list of ‘wanna make quilts’ is getting longer and longer-lol

I took it on step further. I sewed two blocks together and then fussy cut it into a 10" square. Each square has a different stripe pattern. I have an idea for making two donation size quilts from the blocks. The squares were all mismatched 5 inch squares I'd never use so I'm having fun with it.
