Louise and I both get designs from My Garden Embroidery. She has tons of charms and earrings there.
Yesterday I got the newest quilting design from Pixies Rule for $1.00! She has tons of sets for the same price, too.

Oh my! I never knew anything like those embroidered earrings existed. Well, now you've done it Krystyna... I will have to pick something out and make it. I can see where water soluble stablizer will come in handy. Thanks.

I just finished my first 2 projects, without a teacher standing over my shoulder (well, if you don't count DH's IT support for the computer). DS is getting married and bride to be is having a shower in August.
Thanks for looking. She is really into her Irish heritage so the Celtic Knot with heart.

Need thoughts and opinions. I have the Brother SE270D Combo and the Brother 700II Embroidery only. I have the 270D set up for regular sewing but also have a new Brother 6000i so I'm considering selling my 270D and using those funds as down payment on a combo or embroidery only machine that has larger than a 5x7 stitching area. BUT, in researching, I'm finding that there is a steep increase in price. I mean like 3 to 4x in price. Anyone have recommendation of one they own that stitches larger than 5x7? Also I want to do backpacks and larger tote bags that are a pain or I can't do with my 700II.

I watch the videos of the new Brother V series but I'm thinking they will be priced in the range of a mid sized car!!!!!

When those new Brother V machines come out, I'll bet there will also be a large number of used machines that are traded in on them and will be good buys. I would suggest you wait and see what you can do on a good used machine after someone else trades up for the newest and latest. There are several that do larger than the 5x7 hoop.

Good suggestion TanyaL, I know there will be people ready and willing to pay for the new ones!! They do seem to have some great features!! I will just have to be patient! LOL

Nanamoms, check out ebay. I just got my brother innovis2800d there (new) and I love it!! My largest hoop for it is 6 x 10.

Nanamoms,
I have received an email from Brother talking about their latest special. http://www.brother-usa.com/HomeSewin...k#.UBlVv02PVbE. I have no idea what price range these fall into (probably high lol) but these 3 machines all have hoop sizes bigger than 5 x 7 and they all come with laptop; PE Design and a $500 discount. And, you probably already have a laptop, and possibly the PE Design, but maybe worth looking into?
