I had to take my (newest) machine in two weeks ago for minor
service repairs and cleaning. THANKFULLY it is not going to cost me anything since I purchased and additional 3 yr warranty on it. I won't have my machine back until April 1st or sometime around that date.

i dropped my babylock ellure off for servicing yesterday...got the call today. total cost for servicing will be 188-. this includes a new rotary hook as well as cleaning/servicing. In a way, i can't complain...the LAST time i had this machine in for servicing was in 2004. The machine dates from 1999...

Lynnie, are you talking about the Brother PE 770? I have one and love it. If you ever come to visit with Dotty, I'll be happy to let you play with it. I'm sure there are other machines with more bells and whistles, but this one has been a work horse for me and I use it professionally.

The one that emb only.
these two ma hines are are sooooo far apart. The tajima is a work horsetoo. Its professional, so 10 hrs a day is normal work. my prob is the computer part. To upgrade the emb software is bet $2000.00 & 2500.00 pluse the priceof a new computer and all the works. the brother is sooo not what i want, but it does do a 5 x 7. I had a pc8500 brother, with nithing but problems. With the bro, i can download xesigns. The tajima is floppy disc, no memory stick, so id need a reader to transfer to the floppy. If that comp goes, running windows 95, im sol.what to do. |

I have found that it STINKS to heck and back not having my
BEST machine here. Sure will be glad to have it back again, but that is not supposed to happen until the 1st. HOPEFULLY I will have my sewing room finished with setting up the new desk, organizing everything (or most of it I hope) and ready to work. Even though I have another embroidery machine I find that it just isn't as much "fun" using it because it is so limited on what can be done as far as editing, sizing, and placement of designs not to mention the screen is MUCH smaller than on my 1500D machine. Oh well I will just continue to work on the sewing & fabric rooms to get ready to set up the new desk. |
Quilty-Louise,
Show us pics when your room is done! HOpe your machine is ready before the 1st too! |
I have a post started in the "Mission Organization" section
my post is called: "Phase 1 of my mission to organize" there is pictures of the new desk and of the bins of fabric I have.

I just wanted to post that secrets of embroidery (www.secrestof.com) has some sets for $1! (yes, sets!) until March 31. It's been a sale all month. There are some good ones there...some of you are looking for things that are cheap and unless it is free, you aren't going to find it any cheaper than this!
(no affiliation at all--just wanted to let my 'fellow qb-ers" know if they didn't know already!) |
