I would say yes, but I think it takes a memory card reader not a USB?????
|
I have a Baby Lock Ellure Plus and have been wondering how I can use the embroidery feature to quilt motifs. Has anyone done this? I am trying to determine if I can put quilt in loop or if I need to use some kind of foundation. I look forward to hearing about anyone's experience.

I would offer300-400$ to see if they will take the offer. Depending on how old the machine actually is. It was around at least since 2004 if not prior. I saw new pricing for the 9000 at 1200$. Hey, money talks and they might take the offer. Worth asking. Sandy |

I have just bought an embroidery machine, Husqvarna Iris. I know it is one of the older machines but it was brand new in the box. never been opened. Neighbor bought it on one of her crazy shopping sprees. Any How, I am glad for this embroidery thread, as I have not even started any projects yet.
Questions: When you down load designs from the computer, What program do you use to open the file? I looked on the computer and there are so many that I am not sure where to start. Can anybody recommend a reader/writer box? I need one to get designs, as my machine is an older model. Do you know where I can buy embroidery cards for the Iris Machine, besides Ebay? I called my LQS and she said they would have to special order them for me. I also called Husqvarna directly and they said they don't sell them any more. I will be following this thread closely, as I would like to make a quilt for my daughter for her 16 birthday. |
I have a cheap (300 dollar) Brother embroidery machine. I bought Ped Basic for another $100. It came with a card and instructions for downloading.
I dont know if it will work for your machine as it says Brother on the box. Research Ped Basic and see if they have it for other than Brother machines. |
Does the 770 need that ped software they the smaller machine do???

Lisa, if you're stuck with memory cards, you will be very limited, IMHO. If this is going to be your first embroidery machine, I'd hang onto that $500, add $200 to it and get a Brother PE770.

I THINK it should only need the PED Basic card reader box and memory
cards IF your going to use the memory cards to retrieve the designs from. Since the 770 has USB you should be able to access your designs from the USB. However since neither of my Brother machines are the 770 I am NOT an expert on that part. My older Brother machine NEEDS the PED Basic card reader so that I can load the designs on the rewritable memory cards to use on the machine. My newer Brother has a cable to connect it directly to the computer to access the designs. Neither of them use USB.
