Oh, but that I could do as well!! I have found that even if the result is not what I would have preferred, I learned something along the way that will make my next effort better. We can't possibly know how to do everything perfectly from the beginning. With the amazing potential you show here, you'll be giving lessons right away! I love those moments (rare as they are) when I realize I didn't have to struggle with something, and it just became second nature.

Wash that thing and let a young 'un (preferably grandchild) drag it around a couple of weeks and maybe then you will see how beautiful it is!

Are you using a DSM? Charisma uses a very good longarm AND she works in a quilt shop, so she has had years of practice! You are doing a fine job!

The person who said she wanted to make here own quilt hit the nail on the head. We aren't trying to be professionals and earn our living this way. That would not be fun, that would be a job! I quilt for fun and entertainment and to work with pretty colors and fabrics.
Your quilt was great and so are you, have fun and enjoy the results.
Love from a gal in Pleasant Hill Ca who is 85 and has a bundle of hobbies like writing memoirs, gardening, being trained by her cat, volunteering and QUILTING (no make that piecing, for I send mine to be quilted)
