When doing bindings, at the end when I have to sew the two ends together, diagonally, is there an easy way to figure this out without measuring ten times?

Thank for this information. I will be doing my first binding in a week or so.

That looks pretty easy. The price is right so I think it's worth a try. Thanks for the info.

I think this is a pretty good explanation. Now if only someone would tell me how to do it without twisting the binding ... sigh.

I sew the binding ends together on the diagonal this way.

Overlap the ends.....
Measure the top one from the point where they meet the measurement of the width of the unfolded binding.
(if binding is cut 2.5" then the overlap is 2.5")
Put thumbs inside the fold with the right side facing away from you.
Lay the leaft on the horizontal
Bring the right around with right side facing you
Line up the ends - like an L
Sew from upper left to the lower right.
Lay down on quilt to make sure it lays even
Then cut off the ends of the binding strips on the diagonal.

Sounds like the solution to the twisting - I'm going to try this next time!!
