Thanks Holice for the tips, I sure could use them. I find it very hard to keep conistant seam when sewing binding on larger quilts, I try to keep the "weight" on the table so there is no pulling/stretching, but I still have problems, lol, one day I will figure it out...I hope.

I agree that part of the problem is the bulk at the corner and I never know how to trim it. Any hints anyone?

On the corners, I just snip the corners off to minimize the bulk.

To help w/ my seam allowance, I have one of those magnetic seam guides. It gives me an edge to sew up against. Definitely keeping the bulk of the quilt up on the sewing table also helps.

Good tips!

I always use my walking foot when sewing on the binding-makes a big difference.

I try to square up the corners of the quilt also. Seems to help get them to lay flat. I definitely will try the hint of catching the fold with the first stitch. Thanks

I had one of those and didn't know what it was for. Now I will look for it when I get home. Thanks for the reminder.

I round a lot of the corners off on most of my quilts, looks nicer and falls off the bed better.
