    This sounds great! My boys are going to Africa for the whole summer, so I'm trying to pack in the fun and bonding now.

    Great project - and even though you said you're not thrilled about the colors, this quilt in any colors will be a special memory-maker for your sons. Terrific idea - may have to copy this with my grandsons.

    I taught my boys to sew too - never thought of having them quilt - if they can manage a sewing machine they can manage OTHER power tools.

    Great that you are doing this with your boys. I loved teaching my niece and nephew to sew and they loved learning. It will be a treasured memory. If you want to PM me, I would be happy to send you some fabric....
