recently I saw a show on Big Block Quilts on Sewing with Nancy. They made 18" blocks featuring a koi print. I made one with 9" blocks to show off a novelty print. You cut a large fussy cut, bordering with 2 rectangles with diagonal cuts and a smaller cornerstone. Really allows you to feature fabric. Go to her website and the tv link and then Big Block Quilts and you should find the show. It makes it easier to cut that treasured fabric!
