Default Which 2018 Mystery Quilt Are You Doing?

I've never done one and would like to join in.

    Which one do you suggest?

A quickie to get started is the NYD completion one from merrymayhem.com
The first two (easy) steps are posted and the final will be posted NYD at 11 am EST.

I read somewhere that on their FB page a correction was posted, but I can't find the FB page. Anyone know anything about a correction? Think it was to the HSTs which would be quite important. Thanks.

The Merry Mayhem correction was to not cut the Darkest fabric, leave it as squares.

I heard yesterday that there is a Kaffe Fassett Mystery Quilt BOM this year. You can choose a light or dark colourway. Costs are around $30.00 to sign up and $25.00 per month for 10 months for the BOM.

I love Kaffe Fabrics and am thinking about signing up with a local shop.

I'm doing Bonnie Hunter's. It's wrapping up, probably tomorrow. Very time consuming... but you can still get all the clues at the Quiltville.com blog. I think the 'reveal' will be tomorrow.

Merry Mayhem may be a good one to start with.

I would suggest PaintedbyJudy's Mystery train ride right here on the QB. It is an excellent way to jump into a mystery that is always fun and very doable. It is never overwhelming like some are. I always enjoy Judy's mysteries. She is going to start a new one the end of January. You can find it Blocks of the Month.

"To those of you who subscribe to this thread, I wanted to let you know the next mystery will be possibly the end of January, maybe the 3rd Saturday. I haven't even designed it, let alone worked out my colors. LOL
Need to get December out of the way, but as always, I will post the link to the new mystery on the #17 mystery and give you the link to #18. See you all later, new and returning riders, and Happy New Year to all, and Merry Christmas, too."

Barb in Louisana, At first she said to cut the dark squares into triangles, then probably realized that she had us draw lines on the light squares in Part #1, which means you cut after sewing. It's just for making HSTs, so it doesn't really matter if you cut the dark squares, or didn't cut them. Part #2 is posted on the website. It seems easier to get the clues there: http://merrymayhem.com/newyearsday.html

Watson, I also did Bonnie Hunter’s mystery...which was enough to satisfy my mystery curiosity until Paintmejudy comes out with the next mystery train here on the QB. There are a few QAL’s that I am interested in...Pat Sloan has one called Summertime that looks fun.

Craftsy just offered theirs and I am seriously contemplating it. I love Boundless fabric and the quilt does look great.
