I have used fleece too. Either as batting or backing for extra warmth.
I made a bunch of these and will make more (5 sons, many grands and nephews) as all the men in my family want one. I have used flannel sheets, flannel fabric or cotton bedsheets as backing. I use what I have or can get cheap at the time. Flannel would be my choice. :thumbup:
Can you use flannel sheets for the back? Are they good enough quality??? Sorry . . . newbie here!!! :o)
I have and they were fine but be sure to wash the sheet in hot water and dry on hot to preshrink the backing sheet.
