Default Any one making the Clementine Quilt Along for St. Judes?

I finished the first block and it was very difficult. 80 pieces in a 12 1/2 " block. I'm not a precision piecer so I have to do it over. I converted it to paper piecing in EQ and had it finished in a quarter of the time the first one took. Did anyone have that much trouble with this first block? I have all the special rulers for folded corners but working with 2" fabric, it's not happening for me. LOL

Not involved but I love the finished quilt. So pretty. I can see all the tiny pieces in that thing. I need to get the EQ so I can convert to PP when needed. So cool you can do that. Good luck!

yikes! 80 pieces in 12.5 " block--more power to you! that sounds so tedious. i definitely would have had problems.

Not heard of...link please......I am a supporter of st Jude's hospital. Why does something have to be so complicated? 80 pieces..sounds like a record breaker to me! What will the other blocks be?

One of them is a 20 inch block. It looks like it is 4 blocks in one. The smaller one is like--no way. It is a beautiful quilt.

I did improve my piecing skills but not enough to tell I'm very good at small pieces. The PPing was a breeze. The big block was easy. I am more comfortable with big blocks. I didn't include the link as my posts with links seem to get deleted for advertising.

I haven't heard of it either but 80 pieces- yikes!
I have that fabric line for a quilt I'm working on (Mama's Cottage). It's a really fun line to work with.

It is beautiful but, I was not given enough patience to make it.

My donation quilts for foster kids in my county are much simpler.
