Looking closely at the picture, I don't see a penguin walking foot in the box to justify that price!

Oh yes, I think that's quite a bit high. You might make an offer and see if the seller is interested in haggling. Sometimes people will ask a high price without any real expectation of getting it.

I think it depends on where you live. I saw several in Cincy at the show - average about $450. Friend who went to Padukah last week said they were asking about $600. The case looked to be in good condition in your picture. If you can afford it, you might reconsider buying it. BTW, another friend of mine bought one off Ebay, but returned it. She continued then to look until she found one she really liked.

I too, live in ontario & I paid $300.00 for mine on ebay & the seller is also in ontario. I think $600. Seems quite high but I guess that depends on how badly do you want it. It does look like its in very good shape as is mine but of course the final decision is yours. IMHO I think you can find one cheaper, but do you want to wait? Good luck.

I think that is too high. Pictures always make things look better than what they are. I have 3 FW and the most I paid was 300 and that was with the card table and has the insert to go with it. All I have had to do with the 3 is oil and grease them and clean them up a bit. If I was you I would keep looking.

I live in MN, I have never seen one that high. I bought mine at an estate sale for $125, my neighbor bought hers at a garage sale for $5 (never saw one that low). At a local sewing machine shop he had 2 for $299 each. They are good little machines, I take mine to the cabin for piecing quilts. Good Luck!

That is way high IMHO. I have one that is in Pristine condition and in the case with book, all sort of accessories including a walking foot and I paid $325. for it. I would continue to look if I were you.
