That's good to know. I have a gray mat for my strip cutter but the store sells white ones. Next time they're on sale I'll be sure to get one.

I had purchased my studio, and then less than 6 months later out came the Go,but as I keep seeing I am happy I have the studio because I can get the larger die sets and have a quilt cut in less than an hour.yahoo

$199 is a good price but check out Amazon.com - I think that's where my daughter got mine. It was around $189 including postage. I've bought extra dies and mats there, too as they have better prices.

If you go to the Yahoo homepage, go down the column on the left to "Groups." Search for pinsandneedles (all one word). You want the sewing related one.

Although you have to request membership, it's generally approved pretty quickly. Prices are 35% off MSRP if paying by check or money order, 30% off if paying by card or Paypal (costs more as there are fees associated that she has to pay).

My orders have always been sent within a few days. Kathy has a nice chart that I've printed off - item name and number, pricing, and "want" "have" columns so that you can keep track of what you have.

I also recommend the Accuquilt group through Yahoo. Lots of good information is shared, and there is a gallery of completed projects organized by die.

I have a Sizzex system and find it very useful for cutting many uniform applique shapes. I first put the vleisofix (like badge master) on the back, and cut through about 5 layers at a time and then play with placing all of the hearts, strs, butterflies etc that I have cut.
Accurate and time saving, and the dies only cost $16 each - not hundreds.

I have the Studio, certainly not a pro. LOL Just learning.

I love the studio. Cutting is accurate. Not a lot of waste at all.
Makes cutting so fast and everything lines up so nice while sewing.

[quote=Debbie B]I'm back again...ha. Just got another notice from my Facebook question about the white mats. The first post was from a another member. This one was from Accuquilt and it said:
    Hi Debbie,
AccuQuilt wrote:"Ladies - AccuQuilt has decided to switch back to the white GO! Cutting Mats moving forward! Although the gray mats work fine, we know that our customers prefer the white cutting mats over the grey ones."

It is so nice they listen to their customers.
