well today is the day. sigh. been holding off till the last minute. my sewing and quilting area is also our dining room. I have company coming for Christmas and all must be packed and stored. I wont be able to do any cutting or sewing or anything with my machine till after Christmas. Will I survive?
As soon as everyone is gone (Jan 1st) I am taking over the spare bedroom as my new sewing room. Cant wait!

WWOOOOOOHOOOOOO a room you can call your own.

While you can't be cutting or sewing on the machine, plan your layout for the new room.

You are going to love being out of the dining room and into a room of your own. My machine is in the shop right now too, so I am also without...I know how it feels...I feel like I've lost my best freind!

My sewing is a total disaster. I will not clean it up until the last gift is made. I would hate sewing in the dining area.

It should be well worth the wait if you are getting a sewing room

Dining room is all cleaned up. Left up the banquet table for Christmas, put a green table cloth on it and decorations. All material, machines and supplies are boxed and put in a closet. Now with all this room with clean tables the urge to cut and sew is stronger than ever. I guess this should be in the chit chat section but I dont know how to move it over there.

I just dropped about a thousand beads onto the floor. Would you come over & help clean up? Why doesn't someone invent a magnet for beads?!

I can't wait until Jan. too. My ds and dil bought a house. They will be coming to take his furniture next week. His room is my sewing room right now but I'm moving to the basement since he's taking his pool table, air hockey table, a living room suite and an antique armoire. Then my ideas start kicking in- I get the basement for my room!!!
