First of all, I love your quilt :) Here's my opinion....add another border but not the butterflies (you could use that for the backing maybe :)). The second border should enhance the body of the quilt and not distract you by drawing your eye away from the quilt itself. Whatever green is in the body of the quilt would make a lovely contrast with the pink and make it "pop" a little but not overwhelm. Be sure to show us what you decide on.

Thanks for all you input. This is great!!! I only have my husband to get ideas from and he always says "whatever you think" or yeah, it's ok. I love that we can share on here and get "real" ideas and comments and critique sp? my work. Actually, I have about decided to use the pattern already in it; I will send it and see if you agree with me. It does not take away from the quilt and I think it gives it a "finished look"...let me know...it is not sewed on, just cut and laying out. anxiously awaiting your comments.

same material as in the nine patch and inside trim

I think that is the one I'd go with as it finishes it off nicely!

I think this is the ideal; it has many of the jelly roll colors, yet it is different. It also seems to frame the quilt and the original border so weel. Great combination. Please show us pictures when you are all done.

Your quilt is so pretty. I would put another border on it also. In green or blue to match the other fabric in the quilt. Scolloped border would add interest and demension. Please show a picture when you decide what to add.
    Peace and blessings,

I'm a newbie too and have trouble with colors and prints. My gut feeling is if you have to ask if it is too busy -- then it is. Hope this helps.

I would go with another boarder also although I think you've done a great job so far. When you add your binding, a portion of your 9 patches will be gone so for that reason another outer boarded might be nice. Do you have, or can you get, one of the greens you put in your quilt or something the same shade/tint green as is in your quilt. That would look really pretty.

I like the butterfly print, but it detracts from the rest of the quilt top. If you had used it in the body of the quilt it would've worked as a border.
    I love bright colors!

I love it with the choice in your last picture. Keeps the delicacy of the quilt.

Great job! Can't wait to see it finished---

I am thinking of doing a green in the binding to the front now that would match the green in the quilt. I cannot match it; I have already been to Jo Ann's where I bought the jelly rolls. But plan to look at sheets this next week and see if there is a green or check fabric stores again.????? lol I did sew the last border on and I really like the look.

I like justs as it is. If you want a larger quilt then go with the extra border.
