I did the same thing to my sister, basically. I made her and all 4 of her kids and all 5 of her grandkids a quilt, as I never dreamed she would start quilting. She lives in Texas and I live in Georgia but we finally talked them in to coming and visiting for a week. We did nothing but sew while she was here, she was hooked completely. Now almost 3 years later she has a nicer sewing/embroidery machine than I do and a bigger quilting machine than I do. Now you tell me - is that very nice of her? Just kidding of course but she sure had no idea how much money I had spent on her family making quilts until she got involved so much. Now that's all she wants to do - sew and quilt. I think it's neat as can be and we really have something in common. She loves it "almost" as much as I do now.

I think we ALL need to have a group counseling session to talk about our addition. Wait..........we already are right now on this board. I confess that I am a addict of quilting. Welcome to our world. We will ALL make it together. Together we can ALL quilt. Opps I mean survive this addition. However, we have to finish a few quilts before we get to that point. Welcome~

Sooo funny! My sister could have posted a similar message. I dragged her into quilting practically kicking and screaming! She said among other things that she didn't have time to which I replied, "Just try it." Now she is addicted and we spend lots of sister time happily quilting!
