It's shameful what our sisters can talk us into. They have no shame . lol. Wish my sister was still here so that we could get into trouble together again. God bless all sisters.

My lname is KarateLady and I am a quiltaholic,,...I started with a simple block, but that was not enough...then It was piecing and sashing, and now sadly to say I have advanced to old sewing machines. I say I won't buy any more fabric, but then I find myself back in JoAnns.....My firends and family see the snippets, and threads. the piles of fabric and patterns and just shake thier heads knowing there is no hope...........................I am hooked and there is no known cure.

As the rest said, there is no cure. Just relax and enjoy this addiction.

Need some tips on getting MY sister motivated and started quilting. She knows how to sew, has a good sewing machine, has said she wants to learn to quilt, admires the quilts I do, but I'm not sure how to get her started. I don't want to push because I want it to be her idea. Any subtle suggestions to get her going?

Best kind of addiction to have, better than drugs and cheaper than therapy.
