Nadine You are not old! You are vintage. You are like a fine wine, you get better with age.

Excellent point.

I saw this magazine at KMart the other day and grabbed it! As I was walking back to sporting goods to find DH, I looked at the price...$12.99 (what the ....??) and I immediately walked back and put it back in the rack :( Just can't get myself to spend that much for a magazine!

22 patterns for 12.99 is slightly less than .60 cents a pattern. You'll pay $7 to $8 bucks PER pattern at the LQS. Seems like a real bargain to me.

I just got it at JoAnn's last night. Had a 20% off coupon for entire order. Worked today and haven't gone thru it yet tho'.

For a magazine that price I have to like just about every pattern, then I end up keeping the whole magazine in tact rather than rip out just what I want to keep.

But nowadays, I don't buy magazines like I used to any more.

Whenever I go to Lowes, I usually check out the books and magazines. I see all kinds of home improvenment but no quilting/sewing so far. I guess I will have to keep looking.

But the price of the magazine...that's really high. I remember when magazines cost maybe 25cents and a hardback book was maybe $10. (obviously I'm really old...lol) but that's another thread...
