Not weird at all, I make these too. Right now I have several I need to take to the animal hosp. I also put one on my living room floor where the cat was laying in the sun. Now she loves laying on the "cat" bed and because it is of a dark color, it draws the heat. She is getting old and likes the heat in her "old" bones. :)

You take an old pillow case or make them. I make different sizes, you just take different size scraps I like them small as they fluff better. I put scraps of thread and material and just keep adding until it's full. My lil dog tries it to see if it's ok. Lol. Then sew shut you can make a cover for it and it's all washable. One paddy here says she also uses dryers sheets and dryer lint in hers!
Goog luck let me' know how it goes!

Thank you, I have dryer lint     . No dryer sheets, but the old fabric as I mentioned and lots of thread "scraps" and a nice piece of fleece for the outside, will make that my next, next project.
