Don't have one on my regular machine, but have one on my Mega Quilter and HATE it, I can thread the needle quicker myself.

Mine seems to work fine on my Janome. But I do notice with thinner threads (like Madeira) it will cut my thread.

I can't use the one on my Janome. I tried and tried at first and only got it threaded once. After that - like everyone else, I find it easier to do it myself! (I have the needle that came with the machine, I think it's Organ brand).

i'm sitting here in awe of all of you that can see to thread the needle!
Sooo, guess you know that means I either use the threader, or have to use a mag glass
thanks for the tip on the schmetz needles...have a janome and never knew that! :-D

Once I figured out how to use mine, I like it. I have a singer precision 7444. My old one didn't have a threader, I was the threader lol I really appreciate this feature and use it every time I change thread.

I don't use mine. It works, but the old-fashioned way works just as well. At least I don't have to get the instruction manual out for that. (I could use stronger glasses.)

I have a Brother SE350 and mine works 98% of the time once in a while there is a thread it doesn't like. I love it! I think they removed the hole in the needle when I try to thread it myself!

I had one on my Singer and could never get it to work. I just got a new Pfaff and it works like a dream.
