Am I a Snob Because I Don't like Crumb Quilts
#51
To each his own! Like abstract art.. There is some odd art out there that sales for millions that I wouldn't give you $5.00 for..Just not my taste..I would rather have a crumb than a star quilt..I just don't like stars quilts at all..but there are some pretty ones out there!!

Katfish, thanks for the link. I would love to snuggle under something like that. I have never made a crumb quilt but I am keeping my scraps and fully intend to. I think there is something satisfying about following in the footsteps of past quilters, a different time when quilting was a economical pass time and a way to give your family comfort when resources were limited.

Loving any quilt is a personal choice...maybe that's why there are so many styles! each to his/her own...I can appreciate all kinds of quilts...but that doesn't mean I have the inclination to do any of them. Sane quilts intimidate me!!!! I don't have the organized mind to do all those points and lines! Crazy quilts lets me go free!!!!
It's good that we all do different things so we can share with others.

I love crazy/strip quilts B/C I have freedom to be free!!! I've joined the Pinwheel Project that started Feb. 10th and it's the first time I've tried anything that has to match lots of points - I'm having fun - but don't know if I would do it again. I do like to sash my crazy blocks because I have trouble 'seeing' them when they all run together.
