The binding class my quilting friend and i took was one of the best classes we took when we were first starting out! It was a machine binding class, but we learned how to measure, and get it to fit... we both sew by machine to the front, then stitch the back by hand...

I hope you're not weird for loving even the binding part, because then I'm weird too!! ha ha

I too enjoy doing the binding. I attach it by machine, but hand stitch it down on the back and find that to be very relaxing. By far my least favorite part is the layering & basting.

I'm stitching the binding on a quilt now. Love it. DH and I just sit in the den and talk, sew and he sometimes reads the paper. We just enjoy being together I guess.

There is an ad for Superior thread just above the reply box. I've seen posts of how much people like this thread. I have not found it here in Oklahoma. Do stores carry Superior thread, or does it have to bo ordered?

Me too. It's relaxing to do when I'm watching TV.

I love to do the hand finishing... it is relaxing and I like the feeling of "it's done!"
