Next year give them a $10.00 gift certificate to Walmart or something. They can pick out their own gift. hve been in your shoes before and know how it feels. It's not worth worrying about. Just keep making things for those you know will appreciate your good work and the time put into it.

I wish someone made me a purse, i love homemade items. I'm the only one in the family that gives gifts and I don't give homemade gifts. Even though I don't receive gifts from anyone ,I'm afraid they won't like what I give them.

Oh this would be the ideal gift to give to people like this for it would teach them the meaning of giving.

Have this problem with some in my family. I found out over Christmas that someone in my family gave away a crocheted sweater that I had made for their firstborn. They have a second baby who could have worn it but they didn't keep it. I knows it hurts. So...hugs and sympathy from Nashville. We know you worked hard and we appreciate you.

I so found this sad and unappreciated - next year will truly be the year you sew for you! and love every minute of it.

In my family if you don't like homemade you do without!
I do goat milk soaps, grow my own lavender to make oatmeal milk bath, sachets, candles, soaps, etc...I blend my own all natural potpourri, I blend teas, and spice rubs, make mustard, all natural apple sauce and butter, etc....so they get home made and home grown.....

So sorry, I know how this feels, but it did make you feel really good while doing it so think of that.

I commented on a lady's purse in Houston and ASked her if she made it because it was lovely, and she said "No, this is a quality purse by _____", oops sorry, a handmade one by me or a friend would be more loved than one bought just because it was made by a famous person. And besides that, the money that purse cost would buy me enough fabric for 3-4 quilts. LOL. So sorry yours weren't rec'd nicely. If they only knew how much others would cherish one....their loss. *H*U*G*S*

I am so sorry. They were very inconsiderate of you and your hard work. I can't believe they had such poor manners.
