Default Another Log Cabin Version

My Mom, whom we just lost, was an avid quilter. She once made a version of a log cabin with a triangular center. I am looking for the name and the pattern. Can anyone help? I have a picture but do not know how to post it. Any help would be appreciated.

Riley Blake Designs has one. Basically, you just start with a triangle instead of a square and add strips going around.

sorry for your loss.
This is how to post a photo:
first do this:
http://www.quiltingboard.com/qb-help...g-t166655.html
then do this:
http://www.quiltingboard.com/qb-help...s-t168819.html
there is also a book on different shaped log cabin blocks:

http://sewfestivehandmade.blogspot.c...tructions.html I just googled and found this. Not I'll go back and see if I can figure out how to put the triangles together. It looks interesting.

I am so sorry, it is a diamond and each of the diamonds (6 of them) make into a star and then she has worked another diamond log cabin between each of those. Hope this makes sense.

If you click on the amazon one you can turn the book to the back and there is a picture of a triangle log cabin on the back.

It also depends on your skill level. Even tho I have been quilting for almost 3 decades, I try to avoid bias edges as much as possible. You might consider paper piecing:

I just googled "diamond log cabin quilt" and came up with quite a few photos. May be patterns also.
