I understand what you mean about the nervous energy. I walk into my sewing room and end up not getting anything done because I am not sure where to start.

Seems a lot of quilters overthink in their sewing rooms.

Certainly know the feeling! I am always planning my next project while working on the current one. Have a list of 100 quilts I want to make; fabric is purchased for 5 of them

Yup! This made me laugh because I'm right there, right now! My sewing room is packed up because we are finally updating the flooring and paint in our basement where my sewing room is and I'm in between projects. I'm so excited about getting my sewing room the way I want it and so looking forward to get back at quilting, that I'm scouring my quilting books and patterns and trying to decide what to do next. Too many choices!

I spent 2 hours the other night looking for some new thread I bought so had to put stuff away as I looked. Finally found thread in the dining room but at least a few things were put away. Guess the quilting trolls were hiding the thread to make me clean.

I always have UFOs and have come to the conclusion that I always will. It's just the way I work. Plus, I've always got more than one project going at a time--fortunately I have multiple machines, but there are always WIPs waiting in line for a machine that's being used for some other project...The UFO challenge is helpful since it encourages me to go through the UFO pile and pick something to work on till it's done.
