There are so many free patterns on line that, once my subscriptions lapse, I won't renew. Nothing much inspires me anymore. I volunteer with a quilt ministry at my church and we recently received a ton of donated magazines from the 80's and 90's and those are really interesting to look through! Times sure have changed!

Hello All, I was wondering when one subscribe to the digital magazines. Is it downloaded onto one's computer or is it stored online and one has to log into the website to access the magazines? :)

I've been getting subscriptions to several Quilt magazines for several years and now I am not renewing because the all have the same patterns different fabric. Look at my old ones and they are the same as the new ones . New ones are full of ads

What really annoys me is when I find the EXACT same quilt (fabric, designer, etc.) in more than one magazine!
The only reason I buy them is because my boss' daughter sells subscriptions for Girl Scouts but I didn't buy one this year.
I figure if I find one quilt I like in a magazine when JoAnns has 10% off, then it's no more expensive than if I bought a single quilt patter in the LQS. So I think I'll start browsing again and only buy one if I REALLY want something in it.

Yep, ditto on all the previous posts. Not renewing McCalls or The Quilt Life (Alex Alexanders), they are the current running out magazines. Did the same with garden magazines several years ago and narrowed it down to 3 that I still take, even they are becoming available on line, so will see what happens.
