Question Bernina 1130?

Is $250 a reasonable price. I have a Pfaff 2056 from 2007 but have always wanted a Bernina. Was hoping to find a used mechanically one. A 20yr old electronic one makes me nervous at that price.

I have 12 mechanical vintage singers that I can fix and maintain so I am not in a hurry. I just don't see many used Berninas in my area.

Thoughts? Opinions welcomed. Thanks.

They're great machines if working properly. I just serviced one a few weeks ago. For that price, I'd grab it up and if I lived in your area it would already be gone...

I have had the 1120 model for 20 years, and it is a great machine. I have never had it professionally serviced and it has never given me any trouble. I haven done many MANY hours of sewing with it. I would never give it up for any of these newer finicky machines.

I have a 1230...wouldn't sell it even though I know they are still getting good price...way more $250...as long as the machine has been serviced regularly, that is a great price for an 1130.

I am asking the wrong crowd. Just looked and its now $200. Arghhh. Still want it but not calling. Needs and wants I have about 11 others - some get no sewing time.

My local area seems to have a lot of machines that just sit on the local CL.
