Anyone have any experience with the Husqvarna Sapphire 930?
I'm going to be buying a sewing machine in January for my quilting and have been looking around at machines that look like they have everything I need. The Husqvarna Sapphire 930 (the normal one, not the 930Q version) caught my eye. The other option is the Janome Horizon MC 8200 QC, but that one's more expensive and at the top of my price range. It also doesn't seem to have the everything the Sapphire 930 has, although it has a little more workroom with the arm (280 mm instead of 250 mm), but that's about the only plus I can see it having. So I'm leaning towards the Husqvarna Sapphire 930. Does anyone have any experience with this one? Do you like it?

I have the 8200 and also a 875Q Viking (which I think is very similar to the 930)
I've always had Vikings and then I thought I'd try a Janome. They are totally different machines 1. Viking is wonderful, great for appliqué because of the automatic presser foot lift and the auto tension and pressure work flawlessly. You won't even notice the difference. 2. Janome isn't as good over thick seams and is a very picky machine in regards to thread. It sews much faster and does a good job.
I think you will be happy with either machine. I feel more "at home" with the Viking because I've sewn on a Designer 1 for 15 years and the Janome was so different it took some time. I love both but when the Janome likes the thread and settings it's wonderful but it is picky. Let us know which one you choose.

The last machine I purchased was a Viking Sapphire 855. I debated between a new Elna and this machine with the deciding factor being Viking had a better warranty. We have a local Viking dealer and the nearest Elna dealer is 2 hours one way from where I live. Warranty and service location means a lot to me as I use my machine almost every day.
