Love scrappies! I tend to think to that a warm color for the center blocks would be add to the warm, cozy feeling.
I have made a couple small scrappy quilts-there is a knack to it! BTW-Nice job!
Taking a note from painter Bob Ross- Plant your tree where you please-something like that...

Your layout is gorgeous, but I'm with Tartan. I don't think off-white is warm enough with your beautiful fabrics, or interesting enough. I also like her idea of plaid or paisley, leaning more the paisley.

I think it looks fine. If I were to change anything it would be to swap the first split rail in bottom row with the third split rail in bottom row just because the first and second block have the same fabric. But, it isn't a big deal. As someone else said, scrappy quilt layouts can drive you crazy if you let them - there are so many, many, many ways to lay them out. All the colors you have chosen give this quilt a very warm, cuddly feel. Good job.

The light blue squares and background don't match the intensity of the other colors. I would pick out one of the darker colors you have used and use that for the inside squares. Possibly the red or the green.

I like how you fussy cut the center squares. Your layout is great! I wouldn't change a thing.

I really like your scrappy quilt, but do agree with Tartan, Kitsie and others that a warmer background might work better. Can't wait to see your finished quilt!

I think it looks great. As Irish rose 2 said, scrappies can be tough to lay out, but I like how yours is put together.

Looks OK to me. I find scrappy quilts a challenge too!
