I want to have a collection like yours to make a thousand pyramids. Just my thing, I know, but I think it would be so cool to really have a thousand!

I love paper piecing and don't find it too wasteful, as I cut pieces as I go from WOF strips of each fabric and keep a pile of leftovers to use for appropriate spaces in the next arc. Look at books by Deb Karasik and by Karen Neary for inspiration and patterns. They have fabulous updated takes on NYB.

Here is a Karasik project I am working on, as an example. none of the blocks are sewn together yet and there is more to do!

I've always wanted to do one too. Imagine cutting one pyramid each from a thousand fabrics though! Yikes!

I love the quilt you're working on and your workmanship. I am honestly considering doing a PP NY Beauty quilt still, probably with older fabrics and things I won't use for anything else. I have to remember that I have a trash can full of tiny trimmings from other quilts. Quilts always have some waste.

Your fabric is gorgeous and whatever you choose will be a wonderful memento of how you acquired all that lovely fabric. Another pattern comes to mind:a narrow strip log cabin.

I have considered log cabin, or a log cabin in the round. I could make seahorses, light to dark.
