I'm only jumping in on the tail end of this but I think you have made a wise decision. I was thinking about a narrow bright border and then the "squigly" background piece for a wider border. BTW, it's a precious quilt top. I just love the D9P pattern.

I agree. One of the fabrics used in the quilt would compliment the quilt. Looks like too many patterns otherwise.
    Love the quilt.

I really like these postings. I study the picture, make MY decision, and then read the comments to see if I was on or off base. Very helpful in the learning color process.

I think I would go with something more red than pink.

The pink fabrics don't match the rest of the quilt.
The back ground color is very nice - do you have some more of it?
The other two might be ok with a strip of each.
I really like the aqua color in the quilt - do you have some more of that?

I'd go with a bright yellow

I agree. The red was the first thing that came to my mind.

I am not sure of your border selection. Of the four, I think the bottom one is the best one for me.

I, too, am not crazy about any of them. If pic colors are true, I would probably choose a yellow/gold, or orangy/red. I feel your delimma though. Best wishes for your decision.

The patterned one on the bottom. Why? Because it seems to belong with the quilt. My answer and I am sticking to it.

I agree with Tartan. I prefer a solid border but in an orange or deep red (not a bright red) colour. JMHO.

Multi-color on the bottom suits my eye best. You could also use that stripe as the binding on the bias!

Sorry, I do not like any of them. IMO, they all draw the eye away from the center to the borders. Since you have a lot of primary colors, I would suggest a near solid of one of the primary colors, perhaps red or blue?

I like to cut strips across WOF for borders. Then it looks like a "piano keyboard" effect. Thisi would be my choice for you.

I agree with QuiltnNan, none of them speak to me. If you have to pick from one of the four, I'd say the bottom one. Otherwise I'd find something in either the red or orange tones as those are the colors that seem to pop out at me.

Not sure I like any of them but if I had to chose I'd say the pink. Maybe pick a color from the top to use as boarder.

Of the ones there, the bottem, but if you have background materal, a red border and then the background would be great, or plain red.

This is what I would use--Red.

You have made an excellent choice and your quilt will be luscious when completed. Please post a picture at that time. Thanks for sharing.

I like the bottom one. It picks up all the colors in the main part of the quilt top. Pretty and fun too!
