    I don't think you can go wrong with either. They both look nice.

    That said, I prefer "B". It's a better flow for your eye.

    I like B because the white center lines create a secondary crossed design.

    I like the openness of B . It has an airy lightness about it. Both are nice layouts.

    I prefer A. I think it's because the medium-coloured bars next to the dark squares create a colour gradient, which is one of my favourite effects in a quilt. If the blocks were in different colours, I might feel differently.

    It always amazes me how a small change in placement can make such a difference in how a quilt looks!

    For me, it would be A. Option B creates too much negative space for my taste.
