This is the one I use:

Like someone else mentioned, I make a double-sided recieving banket from flannel and use the trimming for the burp cloth.

I did not like the look of the diapers I bought after I prewashed them so I made my DG's out of flannel. Asked my DD to tell me honestly if she liked them. Told me she really liked the diaper ones better as far as absortion. She also had some that the back were terrycloth. Those work well. Figured u might could use a hand towel to back them with.

I too have made them with cloth diapers on one side and flannel on the other. You do not need to use any batting. The cloth diapers work well. Way back when (40-50 yrs ago) cloth diapers were all we had.

I remember that all too well! We did not have disposable diapers either. I had a really pukie baby, so had one diaper pail of diapers, and one diaper pail for his burp cloths! :lol:Originally Posted by grandmaquilts
