Baby preference question

I go with what feels right for the family. If I know they are following a certain theme with the baby I try to have something that works with it. I try to not look like a baby quilt, but make one that will work through time for the child. For a mom that wanted a more traditional baby quilt I did pastel tumbling blocks on a white background that had tiny teddy bears in pink and blue. I have done "Tigger" as the main focus in a bright green, orange and yellow quilt. I have used plaids, drawing out 2 or 3 colors for emphasis. Some have been scrap quilts. I want momma happy and something that the child can love and use comfortably beyond the baby years.

Baby preference
I make a lot of baby quilts and very rarely use blue and pink. I try to find a fabric that matches the theme of the nursery, i.e. animals, dolls, vehicles etc. And I have also used wild floral fabrics which are usually are favorites of the families because they are different.

Alphabet Quilt
I made this baby quilt as a teaching quilt (colors, animals, letter names, sounds,) which will take the baby through the first seven years. Can you guess I was a teacher (Grades 1, 2, and 3)?

I try to make mine using many different colors unless there is a specific preference.

This is one I recently made (rag quilt) for a great granddaughter. I really don't have a color preference. I have even used zebra print.
