OK, I've removed the offending fabrics and replaced them. I think it looks like it will flow a lot better without them!

The additional fabrics meant the whole lot required a bit of a re-jig so here's the updated pics!

I think I might swap the first row 2nd and 3rd from bottom, but other than that, I think I like this order! I really want to get on and start cutting, but I'm making it in secret and my parents are due home today so I'm going to have to hold off for a little while! Luckily they're away quite a lot on their boat, so I should have plenty of time to get it done this summer :-)

I have not made a Bargello and wasn't aware that so many fabrics were needed. This has been a lesson for me.

Most of the Bargellos I have made take around 20 fabrics. Lots of decision making going on!

I have to agree with Maniac on this. It just looks out of place with other fabrics.

I agree that that fabric does not "play well" with the others. All are beautuful fabrics!!

Yes, I would swap those two. Please keep us posted with your progress!

I like the ones on the far right too. I made a quilt with the "screamers" like in the first and third rows and it bothers me to this day when I look at it hanging in my granddaughters room.

Yes, I think this will get you there.

I agree with Maniacquilter the middle row second up just doesn't feel right anywhere.
