I agree about the stamped batiks, I tend to stay away unless I can't help myself. I have all colors I would say except yellow, anyone see an yellow batik? Me either. Nor black, but I think I have the rest, and I lova lova lova batiks.

I'm a newbie. What are batiks? How will I recognize them?

It would probably be easier for me to describe what's not in my stash .... batiks are like potato chips, you cannot have just one or two!!!

My husband collects Anheuser Busch steins and Nascar die cast cars.... he asked me one day -"what are you ever going to do with all this fabric?" I replied very sweetly - "are you going to drink beer out of those steins or drive any of those cars?" He, of course, said "No" and I said "then it doesn't matter what I do with all this fabric then does it?" He hasn't asked any more........ :P

I have a pretty nice stash going. Lots of blue, purple, green. And some drop dead gorgeous light tones that I'm saving.

I like blues, purples, aqua, teal and turquoise, but also pinks and some variegated ones that have browns, golds, maroons and colors like that.
