Nothing, flannel, medium pellon interfacing, thin cotton, thin poly. Depends on how I'm feeling at the moment.

I use scraps of batting from quilts. I usually buy king size batting, and can get four baby quilts from one. If I make a bigger quilt I have odd size scraps, and can usually find what I need for table runners, placemats and potholders.

flannel or thermore. Thin and not inclined to wiggle and lump.

Cassiemae, thanks for your hint. I love the suggestion of using flannel and will do so on my next set..
